RIDING AND DRIVING

East Holton Driving Centre is associated with  the National Riding for the Disabled Association.  Our objective is to provide the facilities for those who for various reasons  may not otherwise be able to do so, to ride or learn to drive in our delightful area.  There are now many people who are competing successfully in many driving competitions.

The Trustees hold responsibility for managing the group and ensuring that all  activities  are conducted safely and in compliance   with RDA strict   guidelines.    All instructors, horses and equipment are  approved to RDA specifications.  Carts specially adapted to carry wheelchairs are used and all drives are escorted .  Every drive is carefully suited to the client from a gentle ride or drive, to a lesson in dressage and cone driving..  Second reins are provided to enable the pupil to learn to drive.  Every operation is run by a team of enthusiastic and dedicated volunteers and carers.  A small charge is made which helps to offset the operating costs for horses and equipment.

We have a small school where beginners can learn to ride prior to riding out in our woods and fields.

We operate from March to November.  Driving takes place on Tuesday Wednesday  Thursday and Friday. If you would like more information please contact organizer
